Review: Easily the best case I've used and seen. It's a really designed smartly in terms of looks and user ability. Plenty of space so air flow is good. Honestly unless things change dramatically within the industry I don't see me ever changing cases.

Review: Das ist jetzt mein zweites Gehäuse von Fractal Design, hatte davor das Define R5 und jetzt eben dieses Define 7. Sieht sehr gut aus allerdings ist die weiße Lackierung äußerst empfindlich. Ich bin mit dem Schreibtischstuhl nur sachte vor die Seite des Gehäuses gekommen, da ist jetzt schon eine Schramme... Der Einbau der Komponenten war eine Katastrophe. Das Handbuch ist m.E. auch schon völlig falsch aufgebaut. Der erste Schritt soll sein: Einbau des Netzteils. Dieses verschwindet allerdings in einem "Netzteiltunnel" unterhalb des Mainboards. Wenn das Netzteil "versenkt" drin ist, kann man an ein Netzteil mit Kabelmanagement keine Kabel mehr anschließen, das schaffen nicht mal winzige Kinderhände. Schließt man die Kabel vorher an, die man hoffentlich alle abgezählt hat (später kommt ja nicht mehr dran), sind diese höchstwahrscheinlich, wenn man die Kabeldurchführungen zum Mainboard hin nutzt, bei der Montage des Mainboards im Weg. Ganz schlecht. Ich habe das Netzteil nur als letztes installieren können. Ich will jetzt noch eine weitere SSD einbauen und brauche dafür ein neues Powerkabel. Ich darf das Netzteil jetzt komplett demontieren inklusive aller Kabel weil man ja nicht mehr drankommt. Note sechs! Dann: kann sein dass DVD/BD-Laufwerke mittlerweile out sind, doch die sollte man einbauen dürfen. Ist standardmäßig nicht vorgesehen. In der vorderen oberen Laufwerksöffnung (die einzige mögliche Position) ist der obere Frontlüfter montiert (zwei vorne an der Zahl). Die beiden vorderen Lüfter muss man nach unten versetzen. Macht man das, kann der obere Lüfter allerdings nicht vollständig oben festgeschraubt werden, das ist unsauber gearbeitet. Die Löcher des Lüfters sind nicht an der Stelle des Gehäuses (1 mm Unterschied). Das heißt der obere Lüfter wäre nur mit zwei statt vier Schrauben befestigt. Das liegt am Netzteiltunnel, der unten im Weg ist. Das vordere Segment dieses Tunnels muss man auch entfernen, dann kann man die Lüfter nach ganz unten setzen. Dann gibt es keine DVD-Laufwerksschiene auf voller Länge. Das Laufwerke kann nur in die Blende eingeschoben und nur mit den vorderen beiden Schrauben befestigt werden. Richtig fest ist anders, so hängt halt die hintere Hälfte in der Luft. Ich bin von dem Gehäuse im Endeffekt sehr enttäuscht, was die Benutzerfreundlichkeit beim Einbau betrifft. Das Handbuch ist auch ein Scherz. So ist das Gehäuse nett anzusehen und mein Ärger wird sicher bald verraucht sein. Aber das nächste Gehäuse ist sicher nicht von FD.
