Review: Purchased the 10gbe card to use with my DS1621+ because I wanted a rip roaring connection to my NAS. The card does it's job admirably but it's not as straight forward as I originally thought. In reality between my Mac Studio connected to the Synology via Cat6 I get around 260MB/s which is 2.5gbe speeds which to the best of my knowledge is caused by the 3x WD Red mechanical nas drives and the SFR formatting, the drives are the bottleneck. Ultimately I'm happy with that speed but a 10gbe switch was a waste of money. I opted for a QNAP 2.5gbe switch which was much cheaper without any performance loss when compared to connecting via 10gbe. YMMV.
