Review: I didn't use the cable because of an order error. Yes, it is ultimately my fault for not reading carefully enough - I wanted mDP to HDMI male-male. That's what I searched for, but for some bizarre reason Amazon offers other cables that do not fit this description at the top of the search results list! What the hell for? I don't want suggestions for cables that will not fit my sockets. Now I have a time and monetary loss. The description given for the product is "StarTech.com MDP2DPMM4M 4m Mini DisplayPort Adapter Cable - M/M" and the photo looks very similar to an HDMI on the large end - but it is a (large) Displayport plug not HDMI. That could have been added in the description, AND the product should never have been presented at the top of my search results - watchout!
