Review: I needed a cable that would reliably work with my Apple CarPlay. I decided that the Startech cable gave me the better options for cable lengths that the genuine Apple ones did not. I know that Startech products are very reliable having used their cables for many other things over the years. As always Startech delivered and this indeed works perfectly and I now have a reliable connect between my phone and my radio so I can use Apple CarPlay.

Review: I'd only buy moulded lightning cables because those like this where there is a glued or pinched joint between the cable and the connector will always fail eventually. This cable lasted for 2 years and 9 months of infrequent use. This is obviously not bad going, but I think the design of this and all other cables where there *isn't* a moulded joint from the cable to the connector means they will fail at this point after repeated bending of the cable and gripping it when unplugging.
