Review: This is my offsite backup. I keep it in my vehicle so it gets constant small bumps and vibrations everyday over our country lanes. No problems at all, always works when I bring home and do back up.

Review: I ordered this drive as a Prime promotion. The packaging states that the box includes a quickstart guide. It does not. This is a rather important issue for Windows 10 or 111 users since the drive will not even show up if simply pluged into your computer. There is a pathetic little leaflet that advises that the drive must be remormated for use with Windows but that's as far as it goes. No instructions as to how to go about the reformat. However, there are guide videos to be found on Youtube and it turns out there is a quickstart guide pdf with instructions online (not that Sandisk acrtually mention this either on or in the box - you have to find out for yourself. Just search for "Sandisc G-drive quickstart guide". Basically, you simply use "Disk Management", selected by right-clicking on the start button. I do like the use of C type USB connection (wth both C to C and C to A connection cables provided). Having resolved the reformat probem (using exFAT rather than NTFS, for potential compatibility with MACs), the dirve now seems fine enough for me to have ordered a second while the promotion is still running (it ends today 12th October 2022).
