Review: It is nice and big and the VA panel gives a great contrast, colour and picture. It's plenty bright enough. The build quality of the stand is good. I've no problem with there being no rear bracket, only a few people need them. The speakers are as good as you can expect - far better than most. The problems are first, with the screen - note this is the "1000R" tight curve T55 32" model with speakers, not the "1500R" model without speakers (I installed that model for a customer and it is fine). The curve is not even, in that it looks slightly folded or scooped in the middle: That is, the outer 6-7 inches or so on the left and right seem dead straight, while most of the curve is on the middle 6-7 inches or so. Like a widened "V" or "U". Its not awful, but it does make images seem slightly warped in the center. If you open a window on the left side for example, theres a slight hockey stick appearance - curved towards the center and straight toward the edge. Looking down at the top edge of the Windows taskbar shows it clearly too. Second problem is with the stand - though otherwise sturdy, the friction-only vertical screen pivot on mine droops/slips down very gradually just where I need it ie. at a slight up angle. It was nuisance until I loosened the support arm screw in the base and inserted a piece of cable tie plastic under the base top front of the junction, then retightened, to make the support arm point upward at a slightly higher angle, holding the screen at the desired angle. What a bodge job - but it works. There should be a locking nut or mechanism to loosen and then fix the screen angle solidly. One more thing, in my experience most people would prefer to have their screen right up against a wall, for desk space and viewing distance (especially on a monitor this big). There's no need for rear balance against a wall, so monitor stands should be designed to allow this ie. the support arm going optionally straight up. As it is, the screen partly wastes a good 6-8 x 28 inch chunk of the desk space away from the wall. On this 1000R T55 model, the warped curve issue is the biggest for me. After trying to live with it for a few hours, I know I never can. It has to go back. I'm going instead for the other Samsung 1500R curve model, which I have used and seen also, even though there are no speakers.
