Review: I have had a few soundbars in the past and this one is the best of them all. Looks smart and feels quality. I found it easy to set up using both Bluetooth, Optical and HDMI connections - would quite happily recomend for anyone looking for a decent sound from the TV.

Review: I was forced to buy this soundbar because the audio design of Samsungs £4,000 flagship QN900B TV is so poor it rattles at low frequencies. In fairness, with Q-Symphony enabled this soundbar does sound very good. HOWEVER after replacing my original unit I can confirm that all of these sound bars intermittently suffer from audio failures when the audio stream format changes, for example when watching a film when an ad breaks occurs the audio will mute, loop, or lose dialogue channel. I have wasted hours with Samsung support on this to no avail. Changing channel seems to clear the problem, but this is a problem if using time shift etc as you lose the show you were watching. Secondly the Alexa implementation is terrible. Quite often it simply doesn’t work at all. When it does, it insists on defaulting to US English and Vancouver timezone even though I am a UK customer, in the UK with supposedly a UK product. Again Samsung support have done nothing. If you look at Samsungs own support forums, both of these issues are common to many people other than me and remain unresolved. If you don’t mind the constant audio drop outs and don’t use Alexa, then it’s pretty good I guess. Call me old fashioned, but when I’ve spent over £4,500 on a TV and soundbar I would quite like it to work properly - this combination doesn’t.
