Review: Tja, was soll ich sagen. Nach vielen zufriedenen Jahren mit Synology dachte ich versuche ich es mal mit QNAP. Ich bereue es. Der Lüfter im Netzteil ist ungelogen so laut, dass ich ihn im Nebenzimmer bei geschlossener Türe noch höre. Und weil das Netzteil billig ist, gibt es auch keine Lüftersteuerung, sondern das Ding läuft immer auf 100%. Wer kein Problem damit hat ein Netzteil zu öffnen, kann natürlich den Lüfter durch einen 10€-Lüfter austauschen (habe ich gemacht), und schon ist das Ding super leise. Das Ende vom Lied: Weil QNAP 2€ bei der Produktion sparen wollte, kann man sich das Teil nur in den Keller oder in den Serverraum stellen. Vielen Dank. Und als wäre das nicht alles, ist die neue QuTS-Software, die auf dem NAS installiert ist, relativ verbuggt und unfertig. Viele Features fehlen (z.B. Remote Backup per SFTP/SSH, Docker ist nur halbherzig implementiert, etc), und die Features die existieren sind verbuggt: Memory leaks (auf einem NAS!), Startup dauert ungelogen 30 Minuten (!!), 2FA funktioniert bei mir manchmal einfach gar nicht (ungültiger Token, na vielen Dank), und die Scheduled Syncs laden teilweise nur leere Ordner hoch und beenden den Sync dann mit der Meldung “alles erfolgreich synchronisiert”. Das ist absolut schwach, und ich hoffe sehr, dass QNAP mit Hochdruck daran arbeitet, diese fast unbenutzbare Software zu reparieren. Daher meine Empfehlung: Spart euch Ärger und kauft Synology.

Review: The media could not be loaded. It is a NAS, as expected. Sustained transfer rate from an NVME SSD is 400MByte/s over an 5GBit network. However, it's noise levels are not acceptable (beyond the acceptable for an office environment) and at least 10dB more noisy than it's specification. Practically, for this amount of money you can build a significantly more powerful and more silent hardware. If you don't need specifically the QNAP QTS services, then don't buy it...
