Review: Only had it a few days and just used it a couple of times so far in our small back kitchen that gets freezing in winter. So far so good, makes the room nice and toasty in about 10 mins. We have a smart meter but I haven't used the heater for long enough to see how efficient it is. Due to the whole current situation with energy costs I probably wouldn't run it for much more than an hour or 2 at a time each day but for those rooms that need a bit of a boost when you don't want to heat the whole house it seems to be a good low cost solution. Not too noisy but not silent. As it's small and portable will probably also use it in the daytime in my office when working from home for a bit of a mid-morning boost as it's getting so cold at the moment. Time will tell how durable it is but it's a good compact size and seems pretty sturdy.

Review: Basic little heater - bought it because I was pleased with the one I bought last year, but this one has a crucial difference - the lead is too short (1 metre). Most annoying given that the description warns against using it with an extension lead. In our office we have to stand it on a box because it won't reach the floor when plugged in! Last year's heater had a longer lead - they look almost identical but are obviously not. Has two heat settings plus cold - don't really use that one. The high heat setting is gorgeously warm - great for a quick blast to get a cold space warmed up. The low heat setting is better for background heat. Thermostat works but is a bit clunky, ie the temperature drops and drops and you start to notice the cold before it turns on, then conversely, it heats up and up and up before turning off again, but it's adequate as long as you don't want to use the frost-protection function. We found it heats to 13C even turned as low as possible. Swapped to the older heater and that kept the room at 1C (much more efficient).
