Review: This is the best keyboard I have ever used! Really good for fast typing and not noisy. You can tell it is really good quality. The mouse is also really comfortable in your hand and I love having the extra side buttons which you can programme to do different tasks. Highly recommend- great investment!

Review: My main reason for buying the Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse was to use with my Surface Pro 3 (I tried the arc mouse, it's not comfortable for me and the price region is similar), so bluetooth connectivity and a 'normal' sized mouse was a must. I like to do a bit of research before buying so hopefully the following will save people some effort in future (some of the images in my review are from Logitech's setup guide (http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/articles/mx-master-immersion-guide):- My first image shows the top, bottom and side of the mouse, together with the various buttons:- - Right and left mouse buttons - Speed-adaptive scroll wheel, image 2 (click to click - 'normal' and hyperfast - wheel spins freely for quick scrolling). when in hyperfast you tap the scroll wheel again to stop scrolling (slightly annoying clunking noise when you do) - Side scroll, forward and back buttons(image 3) - great for spreadsheets, I'm due to test other applications and will update this review accordingly. The scroll wheel is positioned nicely for the rest position of your thumb but does make the 'forward' button on the side more awkward to click than mice that I have used without a side scroll wheel. This doesn't bother me as the benefit of the side scroll outweighs the downside and I use the back button more than forward. Installation of Logitech Options software (http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/mx-master#knowledge) extends the thumb wheel capabilities. - Gesture button (images 4 and 5) - Image 4 shows the location of the button, just where your thumb rests. It takes a little more pressure to click but this avoids accidentally clicking it. Image 5 shows the gestures for Windows 8 and OS X. Clicking the button opens the app viewer (also on W7). Hold and gesture to enable the gestures. - To the front of the mouse is the USB connection - this is only for charging. You can charge whilst working but if you're not connected via bluetooth, you'll need two USB ports. Ideally I'd have liked to see connection and charging via USB as a backup when battery is low and so that you only use one USB port, this is part of why my review doesn't give a perfect 5 stars. The power indicator is on the side of the mouse next to the thumb rest. There are three LED's (image 6) that indicate the battery status:- LEDs Lit Color Indication 3 Green 100% Charge 2 Green 66% Charge 1 Green 33% Charge 1 Red 10% Charge Recharge now! As you are charging the mouse the LED's will flash/stay lit to indicate that the mouse is charging and how much charge there is e.g. 2 LED's lit and the third flashing means the mouse is charging and between 66-100%. Connecting is easy:- - For my desktop I plugged in the receiver, switched on the mouse (underside, red strip of off, green for on), windows auto installed the drivers and i was using the mouse in seconds (the channel light on the underside, 1 as it was my first connection, flashes for 5 seconds, then remains steady) - Bluetooth is just like adding any bluetooth device. A couple of great points for connection:- There are 3 'easy switch' channels to select from (see image 7) - This lets me connect to my desktop, surface pro 3 and laptop. Because they're on separate channels, if all your devices are in close proximity i.e. the same room, it's not an issue! You can connect to other unifying receivers! So, buy a receiver and I can leave it one in my PC at work, one at home and just transport then connect my mouse (plus my Surface too or any other bluetooth devices). The mouse is a nice weight, personally I don't like mice that are too light but this is personal preference, just like the size of the mouse. I bought this mouse because I prefer larger mice, the size might not appeal to everyone but for me, the ergonomics are just right and it feels natural resting my hand on the mouse. Logitech have this to say about the Darkfield™ Laser Sensor "Darkfield™ Laser Sensor tracks flawlessly virtually anywhere, even on glass* and high-gloss surfaces. *4 mm minimum thickness" Personally I'm yet to find a surface it doesn't work well on. Other points to note are that for a premium product, it does come in a premium style presentation box (and you can play with the magnet that holds the front panel closed when you're done!). There are two screws at the bottom of the mouse for removing the rechargeable battery for disposal so in theory you could probably replace it but with 40 hours use on a full charge I'd expect the battery to last a good while, even a drop in performance shouldn't be too much of a hindrance. It is just for right handed people but Logitech released a left hand mouse a while back and it flopped as most lefties use their right hand for a mouse anyway. It may seem a lot for a mouse to some but I certainly feel it's worth it for the comfort, ease of use/connectivity and performance. Originally I bought it just for my Surface Pro 3 and laptop but it looks like it will replace my desktop mouse. I would't hesitate to recommend it as it suits my needs perfectly as I'm sure it will for plenty of other users.
