""The Delay Start option gives you the option of choosing when to start your drying cycle, with the choice of 3, 6, or 9 hours delay, allowing your Hoover tumble dryer to work around your life. This type of tumble dryer removes hot damp air from the machine and filters it outside via a hosepipe. You'll need to make sure there's a window nearby or an external vent. All Hoover tumble dryers come with inbuilt sensors which will measure the moisture content of the load and will stop the cycle when the load is dry. Which prevents the machine wasting energy by continuing to dry clothes unnecessarily. HOOVER "ONE TOUCH" - Your dryer can be customized as you wish, thanks to the NFC* technology available on your smartphone: the association between your new dryer and your smartphone lets you discover a world full of extra contents. For example, you can set clever cycles in order to get excellent results, or you can let the dryer gives you some advice on how to dry your laundry at best. * The interaction with the appliance is enabled only by Android smartphones equipped with compatible NFC technology. Review: This tumble dryer has 15 different cycles - impressive huh. The one for sheets and larget items is called XXL. It's description in the manual reads exactly as this (I reproduce the poor grammar/spelling errors): XXL Load Specific cycle dedicated to dry large linens eg curtains sheets and tableclothes. Thanks to a specifics movement of the drum, the linens will be dry minimizing tangles and fold. What this equates to is ( viewing the drum form the front, the drum rotates clockwise for circa 5 minutes, then it stops, it then rotates anti-clockwise for circa one third of a turn and stops, clockwise again for another 5 mins, stop, anti-clockwise for a third of a turn and then repeat... get the picture... What this actually does is: over a drying cycle, the large item starts to progressively wind itself into a cylindrical shaped lump, the third reverse cycles are insufficient to unwind it. The machine eventually stops with the lump damp on the inside but progressively dryer as you reach the outer layers. I presume the cycle characteristics are controlled by imbedded microcode in a chip. Whoever thought of this cycle deserves a P45, and as for testing - gawd knows how this was passed as being satisfactory. Why on earth didn't they just have it so it went in each direction for equal durations. The machine is obviously capable of doing it ( as demonstrated by the one third turn ). Very disappointed - buyer beware.
