Review: I bought this to pair with the new X-T5 for wildlife photography after reading and watching some positive reviews on it. On the plus side, I love the small size and light weight of this lens, the fact that it has a focus limiter, and that the lock on the lens can be released without having to physically move the locking button, just a gentle twist of the barrel will do it so that's fractionally time saving when trying to get an unexpected shot! There is no lens creep when unlocked either which is good. And it comes with a lens hood too. On the negative side, I have found it is slow to focus in less than perfect light or against busy backgrounds and also not for anything distant, so not always that great for wildlife after all. I am only an amateur, so that's just my thoughts, and perhaps there is more at play here - maybe it is to do with the camera's capabilities, or my settings, or I expect too much? Could be it is not an ideal pairing with the X-T5, although the manufacturer's website lists it as compatible. There is no OIS on/off like there is on the larger 100-400mm lens.
