Description: Meshify 2 Compact is a high-performing case with a bold, stealth-inspired aesthetic. Its striking exterior features bolt-free, flush tempered glass, a fully removable top panel granting excellent interior access, and a front USB 3.1 Type-C port. The front nylon filter can be removed for extra airflow, letting the mesh front deal with filtering. Intelligent space utilization enables the Meshify 2 Compact to boast the performance and capacity of larger cases despite its remarkably compact mid-tower size, and the filtered airflow design makes cooling a breeze. Review: I really like my current PC case, a Fractal Design Mini C, but needed slightly more space for a longer graphics card (although I prefer smaller cases) so I chose the Meshify 2 Compact. It's another quality Fractal Design case and has better airflow, thanks to its mesh front panel which also has 1 USB C + 2 USB A, is wider enough for a 4070 Ti graphics card, has a dark glass side panel and a solid side panel (to hide the cabling mess), has lots of rubber grommets to neatly pass cabling through including above and below where the motherboard will sit, and has a PSU shroud. The only negative points, which haven’t affected my 5* rating, are that the bottom filter fits very loose so is very likely to rattle from time to time which is annoying. I had this with the Mini C and had to put some tape along the edge of the filter to wedge it in place. This time I will probably slightly bend the metal grips underneath that the filter slides into. I would also like to have seen some sound dampening material on the inside of the solid panel, like the Mini C, although with a mesh front panel it probably would be of little benefit. In a few years time, when I replace this new PC, I expect to see Fractal Design cases at the top of my wishlist again.

Review: I've been building computers for myself and family since the 90s. To date I've always carried forward my Antac cases. This time I decided to try something new using a modern case, and I'm pleased. The cable management and space in the mid-tower was excellent. The lack of front access drive bays was a disappointment but not a deal breaker. I loved all the very quiet fans. This build is stone silent. One disconcerting thing to know is that there is no case speaker - no beep codes from the motherboard. That is fine so long as it works but if there are issues those beep codes can be very useful. I'm thinking of adding an aftermarket case speaker.
