Review: Been using a cheap Chinese microphone for a few years now..... that started to crackle and lose connection. Wished I had bought this years ago.... it is awesome! Sound quality is superb, I work remotely so quality on meetings is imperative and this delivers time after time.

Review: This is REALLY great quality. The major downside is that most of the quality comes from SOFTWARE, not the device itself. So if you're not running Windows or Mac, you'll get a MUCH more basic item than expected. I wanted a mic for work conferences where I could be relaxed and talk naturally, and yet be heard very well, without turning up the mic volume so loud that laptop/computer fans or random noise are overwhelming. This gave me much more than I hoped for: REALLY clear audio, smooth natural voice that sounds -- coming back through speakers -- just like my own voice sounds in my head when speaking, but it can add a bit of volume too (if I want), letting me be relaxed, but VERY audible. The only part I don't like is that the driver/settings app for it is Logitech G Hub: a gaming-style app that wants to download profiles for games, send behavioural information back to logitech, etc. Much more like a cheap gaming driver for kids than a pro audio driver / tool, and NOT really something I want to install on a work machine. And again, it's not available for Linux or other operating systems; not open source, so basically this device only works with Windows/Mac software. BUT, if you can put up with that, the software does give you good options for controlling the sound, including microphone profiles for two-person interviews, all-room sound, single-person directional sound, etc. NOTE: I've seen some reviews of Yetis saying that they picked up a lot of desk vibrations, but at least on the Yeti X, that's NOT the case at all for me: it's very clear, clean audio, probably thanks to the rubberised screws that cut down vibrations at the mount points, and maybe just the shear weight of the desk stand and the mic itself, as well as the quality / directionality of it. All things considered, this is pretty great. Almost exactly what I was hoping for (but in software rather than hardware).
