Review: This could have been a pretty useful docking station, and I especially like the look, style and upright stand for the laptop. However, there are two glaring issues that prevent this from being an "all-in-one" solution for docking your PC laptop. The first issue is that it lacks a way to power it. You either have to power it from your laptop or else you need to use the ONLY spare USB-C port on the hub to plug in your own power supply. This was very short-sighted. They needed to include at least one more USB-C port and/or a power supply to power the hub. I should make that point more clear - there are only two USB-C ports. The one you will use to connect your laptop and the other that would be used up if you power the hub/laptop externally. This means that you'd still have to plug any other USB-C device directly into your laptop (if it even has a spare port). Next is the lack of a microphone input. It doesn't make too much sense to include a headphone jack but fail to provide a microphone input. If I'm going to plug in a headset, for example, I might as well just plug it directly into the laptop and not bother with the hub, since the hub can only support the audio output. At this price, there's no excuse to limit the ports in this manner or fail to provide a power supply. At a bare minimum they should have included a microphone port, another USB-C port (or two) and a power supply to power the hub. But for the price, it probably should include more, perhaps even an M.2 slot for an SSD drive. On the plus side, all the ports worked OK and they did at least include a gigabit ethernet port and SD ports. Additionally, support for two HDMI monitors is a nice feature. If this were $40 cheaper, I might be giving this 4 or even 5 stars. But at over $125, there's nothing special about this hub that makes it worth the price. You can buy cheaper docking stations or hubs with the same or more ports and features. The looks aren't enough to justify the cost, and it isn't suitable as a sole plug in point to dock your laptop.
