Review: Having tried to use the internal sensor on my outside gate, it worked for a year. However this product is the real deal and finally provided me a proper option for my gate. Pricey but well made.

Review: So what is it?...This is an extremely durable door sensor designed to operate outside on a shed/gate as part of a security system for the external areas of your property, it is very well made and by Yale, a fully trusted company in our household. Problem...I really can not go into detail about the operation of this item at this time as the unit itself requires Yales security hub to operate and you guessed it, I do not own one...it would help if the listing actually made this clear as my assumption was it would work directly through WiFi alongside the app and Google Home/Amazon Alexa, however this is not the case. So, in general, if you have a Yale smart home security system or are planning to buy one which might I add, is subscription free at this time, this would be a great addition for an external entry point...I have absolutely no reason to put this product down and it it will be well worth the purchase for its durability and waterproofing.
