Review: We bought this watch for my little girl (6) for Christmas, she was over the moon with the overall look of the watch, the battery life has been great and she’s loved counting her steps. She loves texting her family from her watch. We are looking at buying another for our little boy

Review: If you're after a device to keep your kids safe but dont want them to have a phone, this is a good option. Watch battery life lasts around 1 day, with1-2 hours of use. Call clarity through the watch speaker and microphone are good, and the screen is pretty responsive and clear. My 9 year old loves the fact that she can call and message me, although she'd prefer the option of her being able to type messages on a small keyboard, rather than having to always use voice messages or pre-defined messages/emojis. The watch seems to be sturdy and well-built and it's good that a screen protector is applied already. It would be nice to have a spare too though, as this seems to get scratches very quickly/easily. The biggest issue though, is that the watch really doesn't offer much customisation and additional functionally, like games etc, to keep kids engaged and happy. The woefully poor app is confusing to navigate and keeps pushing you to purchase the premium subscription. The subscription represents really poor value, as the only thing on offer for the watch are watch faces and ringtones - there are a handful of free ones, but aren't very good imho. There are no additional games, camera frames, etc to justify paying a premium. What's worse through, is that the app doesn't even allow you to do basic things like reset your account password! You need to contact the rather responsive, but otherwise useless Xplora Support team. The inability to add another parent so they can control the watch through an app is another really poor oversight.
