Review: I bought this record player for my daughter as a Christmas present. Despite what other reviewers said, the sound is terrible. Really tinny like a transistor radio. Worse than that, the needle skips if it is not weighted down with a coin on top. I would have sent this back but the return deadline passed with a couple of months (I wonder is that because so many get returned)? In the end I had to buy a set of good speakers to connect to the system in order to get any satisfactory sound out of it. Poor sound and skipping vinyl, two of the reasons why I was so glad when the CD was invented. This is what you get for buying in to hipster nonsense. Send more money to get a better system which is less toy-like.
