Review: I have only known Netgear PCI cards and USB dongles and had to replace my USB dongle(Netgear WG111 as it was broken. I read several good reviews about the TP-Link but was very reluctant to buy . Netgear and Belkin were the only two names that came to my mind. However after reading the several favourable reviews put out here by many before me, I took the plunge. Installation of the PCI express card was a breeze and I was able to notice very good speeds (download speeds of 10-13 mbps. I have 2 PC's , one on the same floor of the SKY router(this uses the TP link card I got now) and the other on the floor above(uses a Netgear WG-311 PCI card). Both have reported similar speeds and I am very pleased. (Note:PC on the same floor as the router has the rear of the PC up against a hard wall, and still there is NO drop in signal strength) Very strangely the PC on the floor above the router uses the Netgear-WG311T card had a very good speed boost just by using the TP-LINK wireless client utility (CD Supplied ) - instead of the Netgear one .I am guessing the TP-LINK client utility by itself is much more advanced piece of software kit. I would most gladly recommend this card as it is very good value for money and the signal strength is rock stable at different times of the day. My system config are as follows o/s - Windows XP Professional SP3 on both PC's Router - SKY Sagem (the black colour one) Signal Strength : 15mbps ( as shown in the SKY router admin). 1st PC: Dell Vostro 200 with Intel Dual processor 2nd PC: AMD Phenom 4 - quad core processor

Review: I purchased this adapter when I read the answer to a question: Does this adapter work with Windows 10? The answer was yes. I had no luck installing the driver - it was the best one, according to device manager update. I contacted TP-Link and was told this adapter does NOT work with Windows 10. When I asked the agent to name an adapter that did work with Windows 10, I was given the most unhelpful link: It said products with a "yes" support Windows 10. Cannot find "yes" against any products. What a way to convey information about a product. What a waste of time and money!!! Update several hours later. Because the computer I was working on was for my daughter, and I had upgraded it to Windows 10, I felt guilty about returning it without Wi-Fi, which she absolutely needs. I have several computers, and tried installing this adapter on another 2, following all the suggestions I found on Google. This adapter changed the BIOS settings in my daughter's PC and caused 2 crashes. Luckily I restored normality. No crashes on the next 2 PCs - no luck either, but on the 4th, BINGO! Driver where it should be, no exclamation mark, BUT it did not work. Last gasp, I updated the driver and a beautiful plusnet icon appeared on the taskbar and I can deliver a PC fully functional to my daughter. Those of you familiar with Vista and other Windows OS will conclude "business as usual" So, I have defied the odds, but unlike the other reviewer, I am giving a qualified yes. This is adapter is OK if you need to get a life. and, I must thank the reviewer who said a simple yes answering a question for saving my bacon (and pride) - another 2 stars!
