Review: Cominciamo col dire che il prodotto é arrivato imballato in maniera più che adeguata , pluribal più scatola in cartone , dentro a scatola enorme ben riempita di carta . Purtroppo con mia sorpresa (e dispiacere) tralasciando che il disco é 5400rpm anziché 7200 come indicato nella scheda tecnica , il disco é una famigerata unità SMR. Non fatevi abbagliare dai 4TB a poco più di 80€, non sarebbe male ma bisogna fare delle precisazioni . Questo disco non é adatto su pc desktop, Nas o sistemi raid , la particolare tecnologia che sovrappone i dati come delle tegole l'una sull’altra , consente di avere dischi con meno piatti e più dati a costi inferiori . Il rovescio della medaglia , in lettura nessun problema , anzi data la cache doppia rispetto ad un disco tradizionale é molto veloce , il problema si presenta in scrittura . Se pensate di salvarci delle foto e stop va benissimo , se pensate di traferisci grandi quantità di dati come in backup o altro lasciate stare , non entro nei dettagli perché é lungo da spiegare , ma ad un certo punto il disco si blocca e a seconda dei sistemi o riparte dopo qualche minuto o va in errore. É abbastanza ingannevole spacciare un disco SMR senza scriverlo , cercate in rete così potete capire di cosa parlo. Dovendolo installare in un Nas Sinology , effettuerò il reso , non é adatto allo scopo e anzi sconsigliato se non per archiviare dati come foto o filmati familiari , che scrivi poco per volta e poi non tocchi più.
