Review: Very Happy, brings a level of realism to driving sims you wouldn't believe possible for the price. Easy set up on windows 10, download the drivers from Thrustmaster support and it installs the settings dashboard for the T248 and pedals, then a click to update the firmware and all done. Got it fixed to a 'Anman Foldable G920 Racing Steering Wheel stand' and it fits a treet.

Review: Let me start by saying my current wheel is a Logitech Driving Force GT from 2010 (I use it with Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals - which are excellent by the way). So I was not expecting the last word in power and feedback from the T248, coming from what I believed was a low bar in the DFGT. I think everyone would agree a DFGT is a low end wheel - it was £100 new! I expected the T248 to at least match the DFGT given the price and the way Thrustmaster market this as “powerful, realistic and versatile force feedback”. However my main reason for purchasing was the PS5 compatibility, rather than an expectation that it would be much of a wheel upgrade. Unfortunately that bar has now been lowered by the T248… This experience below is with the latest firmware. With force feedback on the wheel set at level 3, and the settings in Gran Turismo 7 set to maximum feedback/power, there is very little going on in the hands. I couldn’t feel lock ups, understeer, power oversteer; there’s just a general lack of weight and feel everywhere. It’s really not a lot better than player with the PS5 controller. Thinking it was possibly just GT7, I tried the T248 on Assetto Corsa Competizione on PC - a game I have played for over 125 hours with the DFGT. I used the latest windows driver and bumped the force feedback to maximum through the driver. Within ACC’s wheel settings the maximum force feedback gain setting I could use without clipping was 75% - the same as the DFGT. Experience in ACC was better than GT7, but again the communication back to you about what the wheels are doing just isn’t there. The force feedback I feel is definitely less than the DFGT, and as said the realism is severely lacking. Feels like the capability has been way overstated in the marketing. A real disappointment so I am returning it.
