Review: While it works, this watch is great - providing you have a Samsung phone that is, as a number of the features only work with Samsung Phones which is something they appear to have picked up from Apple. My watch was my go-to smartwatch until one morning it was simply dead. The previous evening I had scheduled a the latest firmware update as I had done multiple times before. This time unfortunately, Samsung's update was faulty and bricked my watch. The internet has full details, just search 'galaxy watch4 bricked after update'. The annoying thing is how Samsung dealt with this which is why it only gets three out of five. I called Samsung and they flat out refused to admit it was their fault insisting it must be sent to them for "repair". For comparison, Apple would have sent out a replacement immediately (and charge you if you fail to return the faulty one) whereas Samsung expect you to be without a device for up to two weeks. Once Samsung got the watch they announced they couldn't repair it (no parts apparently) and my only option was a refund as they had no stock to replace it with (despite the fact it was available to purchase for next day delivery). Having been forced down the refund route (I just wanted a replacement) I was then told I had to wait up to three weeks for the refund. I am still waiting. Needless to say, I am singularly unimpressed with Samsung and will most likely not purchase anything from them ever again as their customer service is just hopeless. They seem to have taken the worst of Apple (no charger in the box, no headphone jack, having to but their phones etc) and none of the good - ie. quality control and customer service. If I have to put up with the anti-competitive shennanigans that inevitably creep into technology, I may as well go back to Apple who at least have pretty good customer service. Well Done Samsung, you designed a cracking watch but throw good will away like it's going oit of fashion.
