Review: Likes: 1. It easy to gauge amount of water required for boiling a single cup - its major use. 2. It is very quick. 3. Stylish design that would suit most kitchens. 4. The blue light when working may be thought by some as a gimmick but when it turns off. is a visual indicator that the water has boiled. 5 As the kettle separates from the base, you are not restricted by cable length like my previous kettle. Therefore, much easier to use in the kitchen. 6. The in-built filter stops calcium particles getting into cup or saucepan. Cons: 1. I live in a hard water area, so the bottom of the kettle quickly scales making it slightly less attractive after just a few days. Descalers are available to buy but make sure the kettle is thoroughly rinsed before using again. Would I make the same decision to buy this kettle - Yes! My only proviso being that it has a long life.

Review: Bought to replace a kettle with a pop open lid where the lid hinge just fell apart. This one prevents that by not having a hinge! But by golly is this one noisy compared with the old one. Fortunately it's pretty quick, but conversation becomes difficult.
