Review: I love this Bulb , it connects to the hue app and comes on with the alexor app when i ask it to or on the timer and it looks cool as well , one of the bargains of hue and lets face it there are not many hue bargains , i belive there is a new version of this out now tho so worth checking

Review: These bulbs are poor value for money with features that just don’t quite work. For reference, we’re using them with Bluetooth only (because in my view all features of the bulb should work as sold without expecting you to buy a bridge too). Firstly they’re VERY orange with no feature to change the hue. We bought them to use as bedside lights for the sun down/sunrise feature however this is poor - you can’t set it to come on automatically everyday so you have to remember to set it. The lowest dimmed setting is still quite bright so rather than a gradual sunset fade, the light gets to its lowest setting (quite bright still) and just cuts to black. Conversely, the only option for sunrise is ‘fade to full brightness’ which is way too bright, so often you wake up to blinding light! All of these features are clunky and rough round the edges. It feels like the design team thought ‘this will do’ and gave up. Not at all what you’d expect for the premium price.
