Review: Amazon probably don't like these reviews as I'm touting competitor products, but the Google range is excellent. The original Nest Hello doorbell is still, in my opinion, the best - yes, it needs wiring in, but that means a permanent (and live) video stream availability, a great signal to WiFi, and next to no delay in contacting you about motion events, the doorbell, etc. I actually bought this for my Mother-In-Law as we already had one and it was so simple to setup and show them how to use it. They love it.

Review: I spent €264 on the doorbell then €30 on a special door chime, plus €210 for a Nest recommended electrician to wire it all up and add a transformer needed in the UK and Ireland. Then there was an additional charge of €100 a year for Google Nest aware to be able to view the videos. The unit worked for about a year. I am in Ireland and I could not get a Google Nest Pro to come out to help me fix a unit, I could get someone to install but not troubleshoot. For troubleshooting, I was directed online. I spent hours and hours trying to fix my doorbell after spending all that money on it. Google support would help me get the thing started again but never acknowledged that faults kept on happening and basically that the unit was unusable. Google will probably come on here to post a link to troubleshooting and say they are sorry and want to help but all that politeness is basically what kept me going until the warranty ran out. Now they just say they are sorry Im having problems but the unit is out of warranty and I should buy a new one.
