Review: I really wanted to like this, but I think I'll probably return it or relegate it to a lamp. This bulb was purchased to replace a dying Hue White ambiance bulb, at the price point, I thought I would add some colour at half the cost of a Hue bulb. Brightness is on par and the variety of whites is good. I've had no issues with connectivity via Thread, although the device is 3m from the Apple TV and is the only Thread device on the network. Nanoleaf app was also good for updating the firmware. The real letdowns were colour, dimming and on/off -- I really like the 'premium' feel of switching hue lights on and off, for those that haven't tried them, they softly fade on and off which is a really nice touch at home. I expected this to as well, as even my cheap Meross lamp does. Dimming was also a horrible experience, Hue bulbs dim smoothly while it feels this has 3-4 dimming levels and jumps between them as you slide the dimming slider in Apple Home. It is so horrible I don't actually want to use the dimming feature. Colours were also quite poor, my benchmark is an older Hue light strip, which is as bright with colours as it is with whites, this was a fraction of the brightness when set to non-white colours. The transitions between colours on this bulb is poor and jarring. Colours are already. bit of a novelty so this just makes them unpleasant to use. For the price, I think this bulb has its place, but that isn't in any main light fixtures.
