Review: Excellent cleaning time from a battery charge; this was a major reason for purchase as we have a large house and the Dyson we have (admittedly an older model now, V6 Animal) does only one room before needing a recharge. This Miele takes longer to charge but seems to keep going for ages in comparison. The cleaning power is also good and it adjusts automatically for the type of floor and thickness of carpet. The only disadvantege is that the dust container is very small so needs frequent emptying and it is a bit stiff to empty if you have arthritic hands.

Review: I bought this vacuum from marketplace -HX1 Pro, which has 2 batteries. One of the batteries was dead, but Miele replaced it under their guarantee, so just a minor inconvenience. The vacuum works very well, when it works. I've not used the vacuum much, but had one occurance of the batteries losing charge very quickly when stored, so had to revert to my old vacuum. The dust bin is very fiddly, and small, so doesn't hold much at all. When it gets full, fluff gets stuck in the outlet part and has to be pulled out by hand. Putting the vacuum into its other configurations is a faff. The light on the roller head is very strong and useful for seeing dirt. The roller is powered and collects hair, which wraps around it and had to removed by hand with scissors, which is annoying (for people with long hair). Using the vacuum, it's quite heavy and hard to vacuum with at the highest setting, which picks up most dust. If there's anything bigger on the floor, it won't be picked up unless you lift up the vacuum head. Overall, expected more from a premium vacuum (my old Miele CX1 is still brilliant 5 years on). Perhaps with time I will adjust to this new vacuum, and I can't complain about the suction. It is collecting lots of fluff from my older carpets. 3/5 stars, expected more at this price
