Description: Small but mighty The Logitech MX Keys Mini Wireless Keyboard takes the amazing design of the MX Keys Keyboard and shrinks it to fit in smaller setups. Designed for creatives and engineered for coders, the MX Keys Mini has been crafted for support, stability, and precision. The quiet and fluid but fast and accurate keystrokes deliver a distinct tactile response. You'll feel the response as you type rather than hear it. Adjustable backlighting The backlit keys use a proximity sensor to detect when you're about to type and fade when you leave your desk. Backlighting intensity automatically adapts to the room or can be set manually. Logitech Flow Working with your MX Master 3 or other Logitech Flow-enabled mouse, you can move from one device to another without re-connecting. Transfer files, documents, and images across computers and systems with ease. Experience 10 days of battery life with backlighting or up to 5 months charge with the backlighting off. And when you're low on power, USB Type-C charging will have you up and running in no time. Review: No disconnect issues, USB-C port in rear charges the internal (non-replaceable) battery. Backlight works well for me, nice to type on and (bonus!) UK keyboard layout -unlike my 9yr old Logitech K810 which this replaced (The K810 had started sending keys I hadn't typed and some of the keys no longer responded at all). I don't have the Bolt adaptor but have had no issue with any Bluetooth dropouts... although I would never recommend any wireless/bluetooth keyboard for gaming - latency!

Review: Generally these are good keyboards, but with a few big flaws. 1. The battery only lasts like a week. Compared to my previous K780 keyboard which took two AAA batteries and lasted about a year this is really disappointing. I would take the long lasting replaceable batteries any day of the week. What's the point of a wireless peripheral when you have to keep a cable on your desk because it needs charging so much? 2. In certain lighting conditions it is very difficult to read the letters on the keys because they are not black/white as they appear in the pictures, they are actually grey. This goes for both the colour combinations. The grey keys are fine when the backlight is on and shines white against the dark grey of the keyboard, but when the backlight is off they can be very difficult to read, and I guess due to the battery issue above the backlight goes off very quickly. The white keyboard is the opposite, fine to read when the backlight is off, but when the backlight is on the letters shine white against the white of the keys and are even more difficult to read. My advice is to decide whether you want the backlight on or off, if you're happy without a backlight go with the white keyboard, but if a backlight is essential then go with the grey. I've chosen to keep the white since I've always been ok in my office without a backlight before. 3. The mixed Mac/PC keys are just too crowded and confusing at a glance. It appears that Logitech uses the US/Mac only keyboard in all its promotional pictures to give the illusion of a nice clean layout. Similarly I would have preferred the function keys to have the f numbers more prominent and the media icons smaller, the f numbers are too hard to read, especially given the above. 4. The Logitech software suite is a garbage fire. If you only have peripherals that use one type of adapter and are all supported by one piece of their software then you might be ok, but if, like me, you have both Unifying and Bolt receivers and need to use both Options and Options+ (totally different pieces of software, great naming convention Logitech!) it's a bit of a nightmare. Every time I want to do anything with just Options it prompts me to update the Bolt app (yet another app) from version 1.2.6024.0 to version 1.2.6024.0. That's not a typo. It's all a bit disappointing really, all the other Logitech products I have and had have have been excellent, but do note that I am keeping this keyboard, so it's not *that* bad. Update: Just a week after posting this review Logitech have added support for my mouse in the Options+ software which means I can uninstall both the Logi Bolt app and the just Options software, horary! Unfortunately this won't be the case for everyone :(
