Review: The hot plate seems fine for the money, but it gives off huge quantities of smoke when in use. There’s a “protective coating” on it, but even after running it outside for over an hour at full temperature it still hadn’t stopped smoking and smelling like burning plastic. Couldn’t recommend for food use, and definitely not OK for use in confined spaces. It smells terrible, and left us feeling dizzy and unwell. Being returned.
