Review: A new purchase, used for 3 days so far while mucking out stables. Hangs conveniently from hooks, nails etc. The sound is solid, clear and powerful, more than adequate for outdoor use but not tried with classical music yet. It paired instantly with a spare phone I use as an mp3 player. Good value for money, good looks and feel. 3 day's use so far and still on its second charge: I guess it exceeds the advertised 5 hours per charge. This will get a lot of use at our yard.

Review: I bought this speaker with a mindset "anything that sounds better than my phone" and this speaker does achieve that. It is not tiny by any means. You won't be blown away by sound quality outdoors. Not loud or bassy or clear enough when outdoors. Bass is just okay. Battery life is OK, but I do charge it nearly every day. Honestly? I'm a little disappointed. It does last a fair bit longer if not on max volume. It has a weird design where you're supposed to put the speaker only in upright position. However, it is not very stable in this position. The little rubber bits under the speaker are little lines, centred and are not covering the whole under surface - the speaker wobbles and falls easily, and I've knocked it over a few times and learned not to put it on things that can wobble if knocked, e.g. chairs (when I was using it outdoors), alternatively I put the speaker away from edges so it doesn't fall when it rolls on its face/back. That said it survived the couple of falls. To reiterate, it is only designed to be used upright. Putting it on its back is clearly against the design as it has a bulky protruding plastic surface on the back which has no grip. I also think it is not designed to push sound upwards but I wouldn't mind it on the back if it didn't slide around. I used the loop thingie to hang it once or twice which works well. It makes an annoying sound when my phone connects to it. I am concerned it is too loud at certain times at night; I use it to listen to gentle fan noise, and it's hardly welcome to hear a nasty beep just prior. Not to mention the annoying power on sound, and a power off sound. It has an equally annoying feature/sound that when you're 1 volume notch away from max, it stops the music, makes an annoying sound, then resumes music. No app or way to turn the noises mentioned above off. It's like very little thought given to this speaker given the aforementioned annoyances, and I fell for exaggerated reviews and "brand power", but there is nothing at all special about this speaker. I use it in the bathroom, but wouldn't trust to actually submerge it for any amount of time nor let shower water drip on it - I think it has to have a higher waterproofing rating for that (despite that says it is waterproof), but would welcome anyone to comment and correct me on this. I just don't trust or like this speaker much, and consequently this brand. Sorry for the rant. Been long time coming. It's okay speaker, I use it nearly daily, I just don't get the extremely positive reviews given such glaring flaws. wtf? I can't recommend it very much, looking to buy a speaker for someone else and will be looking elsewhere. Not touching JBL. Maybe Anker? We'll see.
