Review: A coworker recommended this hub because my laptop was not designed to accommodate more than one external monitor and I needed 2. This works beautifully and it does not heat up my laptop at all. I highly recommend it.

Review: I use this to expand my monitor setup on my streaming laptop with a 2060RTX Nvidia and a 9th gen i7 cpu. When I'm not streaming I sometimes use my desktop monitor with my laptop using one of the ports. If I forget to unplug my gaming monitor with my OBS opened, the ultra wide that I use with the second hdmi starts glitching out what ever is on it. I use it for a resized version of my obs output preview/twitch chat-activity log, and sometimes my music player. the video preview itself freezes up and starts looking like the old RGB bit color if you switched from 32bit on windows 95/98 to like the lowest bit possible. My obs settings aren't that robust to the point it would impact it that bad, 16 sample rate with 936p video at 48 fps 6000kbps bitrate using either performance or low latency performance encoder setting. It's always extremely hot to touch. I wish the usb cable was slightly longer to get it away from the pc more for heat dispersion. All in all I would still have bought it, just wish it handled two monitors better. I have had a few J5create devices and their support is on par with most out there on replacing under warranty. I had a VGA to HDMI adapter go out on me that they replaced without hassles. I gave 2 stars for the shortness of the USB cable and the overall design to not be better at heat control. Another 6 inches would have been better and kept it away from trying to go under the laptop when it's on a desk stand.
