Review: I spent over £600 on an outdoor innr system of around 10 lights and two power systems last summer. At first the only issue I had was the system regularly not connecting to the innr app or Google Home. Sometimes it just didn’t work despite all the obvious troubleshooting like resetting Wi-Fi etc. It made the system deeply unreliable. At home, we often couldn’t turn it on - or turn it off - having to wait for it to reconnect. And then in November one of the power supply failed, with the lights not coming on at all. Inner’s customer service told me it could be because I had too many lights connected to it (I only had 5). They sent me a heavier duty supply which did work. Not bad customer service but an odd problem to have only a few months in and hardly having used the system. Then in January one strip of 5 lights broke - turning off but occasionally flashing. Customer service helped me work out it was a faulty cable - although it took a huge amount of time to work this out. They sent a new cable. Fair enough. And now in February the other strip isn’t working. The system resets within minutes of connecting it. It must be a new problem with the remaining original power supply I have. Guess I need to contact customer service again. I thought I was being smart and saving money by buying innr instead of Hue - but it’s been a complete false economy. I’ve wasted so much time and become incredibly stressed/frustrated constantly trying to work out what’s wrong - with an obviously flawed set of hardware and even worse software. Innr customer service is good but as familiar as I’m becoming with the team, I really don’t want to keep having to go back to them for fixes. I just want a system that works. The whole experience is stressful and time consuming. I wish I’d gone with Hue. It’s a shame because I’m sure they’ll work all of this out in time.
