Review: Its a printer and it prints. If only it was that simple. Firstly it is the size of a small country. I knew that when I bought it but I still find it ridiculous the size and weight of this monster. It replaces a Canon one that died, and does exactly the same job. The Canon printer was a third of the size. Remarkably, given the size, the A3 paper tray still sticks out even further. Nevermind, it prints fine. The ink costs a fortune, but lets ignore that. Why does it insist on accessing the wifi? I can't see any reason for this except for the manufacturer to gather further data on our usage. From a user point of view it just adds to the complication of setting it up and using it. You would think for such a "clever" machine it could do the simple jobs with ease? Try asking it to print on A3 and it will print in A4, despite having two trays, one for A4 one for A3. Try cancelling the print job half way through and it will throw a wobbly. Then you need to switch it off and start again. Printing a few sheets shouldn't be this difficult! Its a poorly designed and annoying machine to use, but it was the only option I could find for A3. Would I buy HP again? Not very likely.
