Review: Das Schloss an sich ist durchdacht und funktional. Der Schlüssel hat im Schloss 3 Positionen: "unverschlossen", "Dockingstation festgeschlossen", "Dockingstation und Laptop festgeschlossen". Das klappt auch ganz gut. Man muss sich allerdings die Frage stellen, ob tatsächlich der Komfort des Benutzers im Vordergrund stand. Bei meinem vorherigen HP Rechner konnte ich auch die Docking Station separat oder zusammen mit dem Laptop festschließen. Das ging aber mit einem ganz normalen Kensington Lock. HP zwingt mich jetzt für den neuen Rechner ein spezielles HP Schloss zu kaufen. Ein Schelm wer Böses dabei denkt. Was überhaupt nicht geht, ist die Bedienungsanleitung für das Schloss. Es ist ja nicht unbedint selbsterklärend, in welcher Reihenfolge die Teile montiert werden müssen. Teilweise ist auch die Orientierung des Schließzylinders in der Öffnung der Dockingstation nicht ohne Weiteres ersichtlich. Das beigefügte "Quick Setup" hat zwar ungefähr die Größe DIN A3, darauf sind aber genau 2 Sätze zum richtigen Zusammenbau zu finden. Die dafür in ca. 25 verschiedenen Sprachen. Und einer der Sätze betrifft eine Sicherungsschraube, die bei der "normalen" Dockingstation gar nicht benötigt wird (war aber nicht erwähnt wird). Also ein absolutes "Ungenügend" für diese sogenannte Bedienungsanleitung. Daher nur 3 Sterne.
