Review: My comments hopefully don't repeat too much what others have written. I have the Corded Home Model (not the Pets model), so my model doesn't have the mini turbo tool. This is a good all round cleaner and, being corded, there is guaranteed power for the time needed with no fade. You get the feeling it was designed by an experienced user of vacuum cleaners as opposed to some designer who thinks they know what is required. Quite a lot of annoying things have been put right that exist in some other models or makes. It’s easy to clean the roller, very easy to access the filters, it has a good length of cable, there is a vitally important clip to keep the power cable from stressing at the entry point of the cable to the cleaner, the bin can be opened at the top as well as the bottom to make cleaning easy. I can't understand the rush to cordless. My experience of other domestic gadgets (like garden strimmers) tells me that batteries fade before the advertised claims, and it soon gets worse. It really is annoying to have to stop work and wait an age (perhaps to the next day) for the recharge to take place. We live in a bungalow and, apart from one room, the cable in my corded cleaner will reach from a centrally located socket to the furthest points of the dwelling. Another metre and it would have reached to the one furthest extremity without moving the plug or using an extension cable. There are occasions in the year when I move all the larger furniture in the house and use a tool to go around the very edges of the rooms, and clean under the void and the backs of the moved furniture. So the batteries wouldn't last the time needed to clean our home. The job can take most of a day. In a normal clean I can get the cleaner under the front of most furniture except to the rear of a sideboard. I am looking at buying the mini turbo tool to do those bits, but here I find my biggest downside. Hoover's website and query service isn't up to snuff. Hoover have quite a number of different turbo tools. A search for the appropriate turbo tool on the website won't accept my model number to do a search for the tool. I have filled in two query forms on their website (two separate matters, including the turbo tool) with no replies or acknowledgements. When registering your cleaner make sure you use the 16 digit serial number which is located behind the Crevice Tool (and not the 8 digit partial number on the base of the machine) otherwise the registration system won't work. The Amazon website currently has a good pdf link to guide you through the registration procedure if you scroll down the product page. Getting spares easily is important. I had to throw away a perfectly good VAX machine because it was 7 years old and they seem to have stopped providing most, normally consumable, spare parts. It remains to be seen how good HOOVER will be in that regard. I advise using the clip to support the mains cable. Experience with other models/makes tells me that, without that clip provision, the cable sheathing can be worn through quite quickly within a year or two because of continual flexing of the cable where it enters the machine and, eventually, the inner wires become exposed producing a short circuit. In older models it was a bit of a fiddle shortening the cable by taking the chassis apart, cutting out the damaged wire, and reconnecting without the damaged length of cable. I don't know if that would even be possible on this newer design machine but prevention is better than cure in any case. The clip should hopefully reduce the amount and/or strength of cable flexing and keep it out of the way on the floor while working.

Review: I was so excited to open this product and test, and it didn't disapoint. I cannot believe the strength of the suction, or what you can see it has picked up. After one whip around the contents of the "bin" were substantial, even though I had hoovered the previous day. Having asthma, I have noticed a huge difference in the house feeling alot cleaner and pure, even though I wasn't aware there was extra dust/dirt that needed hoovering. The Hoover push n lift certainly did. The use of the tools are very simple and easy to use and it's an attractive looking hoover. Its easy to lidt up and down stairs and has a decent length elextrical lead. The only dispointment I found was the stair tool wasn't included in the box it's an addition, however the skinny skirting brush was. If the stairs brush was included I would make this a 5/5.
