Review: The media could not be loaded. Hoover had a lot to do to win me over and with long haired humans, and short haired white animals, in the rural location of muddy Cornwall, our home gave this hoover a good run for its money. The result - absolutely value for money. Would highly recommend this! On arrival, I was really surprised that the box contained so much considering it was quite small. The anti allergy head is smaller than a normal head but still plenty wide enough that you don't have to spend hours cleaning a small area and you could still easily use this for an average sized family living room with ease. The length of the rigid hose that attaches to head can be almost doubled so even at 5ft 10 I can hoover standing upright which was great for my back, and I didn't notice any loss of suction. The normal head has a carpet and hardfloor setting and worked hard enough to pull up the lino in my kitchen so I would say that worked pretty well, and you can adjust the suction further by using the vent on the handle part which helped me get across all my floors, the sofa, dog beds and up the stairs with no problems. There was also a second hose provided and as I have steep, long narrow staircases I was over the moon that I could just leave the unit at the bottom and make my way up the entire staircase without having to try and balance the unit halfway it at the top of the stairs - there is a slight loss of suction when adding the second hose but I think that's very much to be expected and the loss of suction was minimal. My carpets were brand new as of last October and with dogs and a toddler all sorts of food mess, dust, mud, paint, chalk and other things get onto the floor. I was almost horrified but very much in awe of the sheer amount of dust that was collected straight from my floors - so much so I couldn't help but start sending snaps to friends to share my disgust at the dirt, and delight that it's now gone! The carpets certainly looked slightly fluffier, and it looks like it's taken a lot of the deep down dirt and dust out of the carpets rather than just skimming over the surface collecting larger debris. My bathroom was completely remodeled the week this arrived as well so I've also given it a whirl with picking up the dust from sanding walls and sawdust from woodwork that had to be done, and it didn't seem to struggle in the slightest. I'm really happy with how this performed and for the price and build quality (which felt very sturdy and smooth) I would say it's great value and have already recommended it to a few friends and lent it to family. We all know THAT big brand name for vacuum cleaners and this easily stands up to competitors that market at twice the price so would definitely recommend.

Review: A disappointing purchase, don't get me wrong the suction is good and it's lightweight but.... 1. The standard vacuum head is good for floor but kind of useless for carpet. 2. The pet hair cleaning head is very good, in fact I used it to clean the carpet but the catch is that it gets clogged up quickly with hairs, stuck around the brush cylinder and it is a pain to clean up. 3. The power cord doesn't wind back fully after 2nd use, so quite useless.
