Review: Love this gtech, had one for many years and so now bought another one. I have back problems and this hoover makes things so much easier for me. Would definitely recommend

Review: This device revolutionised our cleaning regime to begin with. After six or so months a thin rubber strip on the front of the brush head came off. Not a problem, it didn't seem to have an impact on the cleaning ability of the device. However, about two weeks ago I noticed bits that should have been sucked up were being blown out at the back of the brush head. On investigation, I saw that the flexible (grey/green) tube running between the brush head and aluminium extension tube had torn apart completely. How on earth that has happened we have no idea. The device has not been abused, stretched, used at odd angles or in any other way that might have caused this damage. We have had the device for 13 months. Surely the brush head should have lasted longer than that? Still, I note it has a two-year manufacturers warranty so let's see how that goes. Update: (36 hours after posting this review) I filled in the online form advising GTECH of my problem and thought that would be it, but no, you could have knocked me down with a feather duster! They have arranged for a brand new replacement which will be with me within the next two days. Now that's proper customer service. Yes, the hose should not have snapped, but never the less, the device worked a treat prior to said incident. I am hoping it continues to do so with the replacement part fitted.
