Review: I bought this to protect my stairs and landing carpet for a bathroom refit in October weather. It's been brilliant, well worth the money. I left it down for 2 weeks and 2 days (over the recommended time of 2 weeks) and it came up fine. For laying on stairs I recommend making sure it is well tucked into the back of each step, I didn't do this and found mine lifted out a bit. It would be best to do this by using something like a rolling pin to push it back. Laying it was a bit tricky as like cling film it sticks together but I soon got the hand of it. At the edges of the rooms it also had a tendency to lift slightly. For hoovering it I found it best to use a soft brush attachment. Wish I had laid some in my living room too as there is mud on my carpet there!

Review: did it do the job - absolutely! came up easily and the carpets were almost in a better condition than when it went down! so why only 4*'s? well, its a total pest to put down, took a couple of hours (and a LOT of swearing) start to finish to put it down on my hall, stairs and landing (which was being plastered). Kind of became an expert by the end (have a broom handy to 'sweep it flat' once its in place - works really well once you've got it started!). MANUFACTURER - can I make a suggestion that every roll of this comes with an additional roll thats maybe 10cm wide to do the edges, because to be fair, trying to get a whole line of this tape down along a skirting without leaving a gap is almost impossible and a smaller rolls to do fiddly bits like rounds door jams etc would be a BIG help (in the meantime, get a wide roll of duct tape to do this but beware you don't want the super-strong sticky type! hope that helps!)
