Review: I bought the ET2120 printer as the cost of laser toner was just getting ridiculous, £400 for a brand new set, more than the cost of my laser bought from new. My old laser was colour, didn't really needed colour for what I print daily so started looking for mono laser. I came across the ET2120, thank you Amazon algorithm, did a little research and watched a few YouTube vids about the printer, liked the Eco Tank system and low cost of replacement ink so took a punt and bought one. Very easy to set up, no Ethernet connection with the baby, WiFi only, took literally minutes to set up. If you have a modern router, just connect via WPS and it's job done. I use mine with Linux, Chrome OS and Apple Air Print, no doubt it will work with Window OS too but I don't have any Window computer at home. Print quality is sharp but not pin point sharp like laser. My usage is roughly 40 sheets per week, around 40% coverage. I am still on my first bottle of ink, the one that came free with the printer, settings tells me I've printed just over 1.5K pages so far, I think with my usage, I'll get just over 2.5K pages before needing a new bottle of ink. Printer was purchased in July 2021, genuine HP replacement ink cost roughly £12.00 per bottle, I'm chuffed to bits at how cheap they are. Printer cost me £103.00 (sold by Amazon) and I've seen it as low as £90.00. This is, hands down, the best purchased of mine in the last few years. If I ever come across Amazon selling the ET2120 close to what I paid for this last year, I'm buying another purely as a back-up. As to the scanner, never used it but I believe you can use it as a scanner/copier, may be useful for some.

Review: Epson have been developing printers since the 1960s. I can't understand how they've managed, with all that learning, to create such an awful product. * Around a fifth of pages printed shoot off the printer, meaning you have to collect up these papers from the floor and work out the order. * It's not clear how to change settings, eg to 2-sided copying * Photocopying a set of papers takes a very long time. You have to press around 3 buttons to move on to copy the next page and there is a delay of between 10-30 seconds before the scanner starts up (I've counted, it varies significantly) * It took me quite a bit of time to figure out that when you get an error of incorrect paper size that was because the paper tray was over 95% full. Remember to avoid filling the paper tray. * To print when on standby, you have to manually wake up the printer (not a big problem) * It's hard to see how full the ink container is Strongly recommend looking for an alternative.
