Review: This bench is great, I had been after one for a long time but put it off as I had more urgent jobs to do first. In the end I bit the bullet and just bought it. It’s fabulous, I should’ve bought it a long time ago. It's so easy to set up and use and to put away again, it hardly takes up any space at all.

Review: Purchased for a keen DIYer who previously had Black & Decker workmates. Usually I don't buy into the German engineering sales pitch especially with so many mixed reviews, but the product was on offer. When I opened the delivered item I was instantly disappointed with the warped Bamboo worktops that don't line up as documented by many other reviewers. Luckily at least the legs are straight, otherwise I would have immediately returned it. The Worktable is made in India, so there's no German Bosch engineering in the construction. Positive points. Folds up quite neatly. This could be improved if the telescopic legs locked approx 10mmm further down so that it would stand upgright without leaning against a wall. (If ikea folding tables can stand upright of their own accord, surely this work table could?) Negative points. The Bamboo worktop should be one of the selling features, unfortunately the poor quality control with warped pieces and the clamping end with almost 2mm height differences leave you feeling cheated. The tray, another selling point that looks like a good idea but is poorly implemented so that you can't fit clamps to the front of the bench as the tray is in the way. I've decided to "live" with the defects and added some 1mm thick washers/shims to the "ruler" underneath at the 20cm holes positions. You also need to adjust the two plastic hinge pieces that are also attached to the "ruler" with shims. With these modifications and one extra washer to counter the warped worktop the table top is within <0.5mm of being flat/straight. Hopefully the worktop won't go mouldy like other reviewers have, or the legs / locking latches don't break like other reviewers. It is such a shame, I so wanted to love this item, instead I have a lemon with the sour taste of never trusting certain brands. Like other reviewers have said, it feels like a
