Review: The media could not be loaded. Disappointed with this fan. I also have shadow wings 2 4 pin PWM fans and these are as silent as you can get it, they are fantastic. I had the original Fractal Design 3 pin case fan installed, which was quiet, but I wanted to get the noise level down even more so I couldn't even notice any fans. It's reasonably easy to install, with the usual 4 screws that you have for fans, but would suggest using rubber washers when tightening against the case. However, this 3 pin fan, which I have on the side panel of my case, makes a low hum which I can hear over earphones. I have the fan plugged into a front panel controller which can vary the speed. At the highest speed it is expectedly noisy, but at the lowest speed (around 400rpm) it is not satisfactory. The video will demonstrate the noise level when I vary the fan speed. The original stock fan is quieter. I cannot knock the fan for cooling though, as it has good airflow. I have now exchanged this for Noctua Ultra-silent, hoping the reviews are genuine for that fan.
