Review: Had a late 2012 27” iMac for ten years. Was still going as we had previously upgraded the RAM ourselves but we decided to get this one. Found on here for £200 less than Apple were offering so was a great deal as we got the 512gb blue one. Everything is working great so far and we plan to use iMovie quite heavily soon to sort all of our home videos. Takes time to get used to the smaller screen but I always thought 27” was a tad too big anyway. Happy with our purchase.

Review: Light, stylish, very well made, in packaging that is beautiful but intimidating to think of packing it up if you want to return it, this is everything that Apple says it is. Setting up is the usual palaver but straightforward and once completed everything is dandy until you want to connect something from your existing equipment. My USB-c hub was not recognised and I blamed the cable. Nope.Having splashed out on a specific new clamp on hub from Satechi I connected that and everything was fine - including my old hub which daisy chained through the Satechi hub and was seen by the iMac if routed this way. Apple support is non plussed. Thanks team. So it is a fine machine. But you will need a hub if you want to connect SD cards and your USB -A equipment. Oh, one more thing. I read that this iMac won’t accept dvd drives. Well it does. I connected my Samsung DVD drive and off it went.
