Review: Decided to buy this around Black Friday as a final upgrade to my AM4 motherboard. I wasn't planning on building a new PC until a few years yet but this upgrade definitely feels like the PC is brand new. Only thing it needed was the latest BIOS and a new heatsink. I tested it on a few games, all (except Fallout 4 for some reason - probably FPS limited) run a lot more smoother and faster than the 3700X. This also meant they were far more enjoyable as there were no slowdowns. This is great for racing games or flight sims as they are a lot more immersive when they run smoothly. The graphics card I currently have is an nVidia 2070 Super which it seems to be able to push a lot more FPS out of. I've no need to upgrade the graphics card for now as games run fine at 2560 x 1440 resolution. As for productivity, it is a bit faster than my previous processor and performs very well especially multitasking. It can run hot, it was between 80C to 90C at full usage and around 55 to 60C at idle for me. My MSI motherboard had a BIOS option called Kombo Strike and I set that at level 3. This dropped the idle temperature down to around 45C and full usage temperature seems to be around 80C but not as high as 90C as before!

Review: I have upgraded from a i7 8700k at 4.8 all core and some games have made very little difference but the ones that have it's a massive difference VR is much smother and the main games I play have improved greatly Just buy one if you have a AM 4 motherboard
