Review: Being avid foodies we were in the market for a good blender at a reasonable price point that ticked all our boxes - namely having a large capacity, a glass jug, steel blades and a hefty amount of power. This blender lives up to all our criteria and was delivered promptly. We read the rest of the reviews here before purchasing and want to clear up some problems people raised: - Yes this is a sturdy blender and you do need to ensure its clipped in place properly before use. That's true of all blenders and these features are designed for safety and so that it doesn't explode mess everywhere! - The jug isn't heavy heavy but demonstrates good build which is what we all want. Separating it from the unit isn't hard once you know how ditto with the plastic cover. Once you know how it's easy so go careful and take the time to learn how it all clips into place once you've got that you're golden! It's honestly a lot easier to navigate than previous reviews allude to - though appreciate it might be more challenging for those with hand mobility/arthritis problems. We've been mightily impressed with the power of this blender - even on pulse it takes mere seconds to blend ingredients up - we've used it to create soups and sauces so far with both cold and hot ingredients. It's also easy to clean whilst looking great on our kitchen countertop!

Review: So bought this blender and arranged a return the next day! As with many previous reviews the product is built solid no issues on that side however I found the locking mechanisms to be very stiff and at times was a struggle to pull things apart. The reason why I sent it back was because we unscrewed the bottom section of the glass jug which has the blades attached to it and it just would not go back on properly leaving a gap on one side and no gap on the other. I even took the rubber seal out to see if that was causing an issue but it still did the same. After struggling with it for a while we both decided it was no good. Even if we did get it back on properly there may have been issues again when taken off for cleaning. I personally would not recommend this. I know many people have loved it and no issues but there are many people who did find it an uneasy product to use. Again I would say I could not fault the build quality on this blender, the lid had to be locked in before you can use it which was a good feature then the jug also had to be locked in the base for it to switch on. We ordered a different make the same evening which we are very happy with.
