Review: I have reviewed this purchase before and was disappointed but I have been using it again just to make sure it was not as good as I had hoped. It has proved that my first review was accurate. I was concerned about the discoloration of the hot plate but this is just a visual issue and I can live with this. The holes into which the eggs are placed are useless they do not support the egg well which are falling off the upright all the time. often the eggs crack even if punctured in the top as recommended, the pin in the bottom of the water measure could also be better. This applies to eggs from any source. It is difficult to get large eggs to fit in at all and getting 7 large eggs in is not possible. It is a pity that minor design errors have made it an unsatisfactory product. Better to have it cook 6 eggs and allow enough space for them all and to have bigger holes to allow the eggs to sit correctly. A re-design of the egg holder would make this a fine machine, the basic unit seems to work well with the timer on the switch automatically turning off.
