Description: The Vintage VUK30N Acoustic Ukulele is the perfect choice for beginners as well as players of any skill or experience. As a concert ukulele it's a mid-sized uke model. That means while it's got a fuller sound, it's still comfortable to play and easy to take on the go. The VUK30N's traditional design features a linden tonewood neck, a smooth 18 fret mahogany fingerboard and sapele tonewood body and top. Open geared pegs make it easy to tune so you can play your favourite melodies anywhere.

Review: And for the price, it's an exceptional piece. It's got a beautiful finish, in a beautiful shade of tan. I bought it for my 2 year old and he mostly uses it at church while the band are playing as he loves to worship too. Since he was bought a leapfrog toy guitar for his 1st birthday, he's loved to 'rock out' to any music playing, or join in if he sees anyone with a guitar, and I figured this would be a good starter instrument for him. Since it's a real ukelele, once it's been tuned a few times, the strings will hold their tune. My hope is that one day Elijah will want to actually learn to play it properly, which he wouldn't be able to do with a toy guitar. I've noticed that toy guitars go for around the same price as this ukelele, and the reviews on those aren't as good. This has excellent reviews, and with good reason. My boy also hasn't noticed that this only has 4 strings, not the 6 a guitar has - and in my opinion, it doesn't matter, because this will probably make it easier to learn when he's a bit older. It's been dropped a few times, but hasn't chipped or anything, it's made really well and people often comment on how nice it is. His friends at church and playgroups love it too, always wanting to have a strum, and since we started taking it with us to church, some other toddlers have been bought toy guitars that look similar, but they don't sound anywhere near as nice as the sounds that emit from this ukelele and they look cheaper and have broken easily. One little boy's guitar has no strings now (not that it bothers the toddlers of course) but Elijah's ukelele is still in the same condition as when we bought it months ago. I am a very happy customer!

Review: I purchased this via my Amazon phone App on the 2nd Jan Arrived slower than expected so not impressed with Amazons change to their postal arrangements.. However - that aside My Amazon App indicated in the description that this was a VUK20 ukulele which came with a gig bag, pick & pitch pipes What arrived was a VUK15 Ukulele in a box (a pretty box mind you). The strings were in a different order to that indicated on the leaflet supplied (one would naturally assume thickest to thinnest) - however on checking various sites I realised that some 'soprano' Ukuleles are strung with the first string as a high g then low C (then E then A)- Beginners mistake so one worth noting if you (like me) are new to the instrument - there are sites out there with tutorials etc.. Yes the strings are nylon so will stretch and go out of tune quick so as others have mentioned you may want to consider purchasing new strings but try it out first... For me I'm sending the one I got back as it didn't come with what I believe it should have. (and I'll need those pitch pipes!) On reviewing the exact same item on my laptop the descriptions are nothing the same (as in product description / details) other than the word Ukulele! Disappointing and something to be aware of if purchasing specific things like this via a phone related App there are discrepancies with descriptions & I've fallen foul before, only then I thought I'd made the mistake... Quite clearly this time it's Amazon. 3 stars as in fairness I've not had the actual opportunity to put myself .. I mean the Ukulele.. through it's paces. But super disappointed with Amazon on this one for apparent discrepancies in description.
