Review: Love It. Don't know how on earth we managed without it. We recently moved into a flat that had been occupied by an elderly woman with mobility issues before us. So many thing were left unkept for a VERY long time. One was the entrance floor to the flat. It had been stained fairly badly. We tried Mopping and scrubbing but nothing really did anything other then push the dirt about. I decided that I was going to finally break down and get a Steam Mop. I had been looking at several different ones for a couple of years now. And this was the last push to make me choose. I decided to get this model because Vax had been rated on the Gadget Show as a higher quality value for your money and with the price it was being sold at I knew I needed to act. We got it with in a couple of days of ordering it which was great. And I managed to get the husband to work on cleaning the hall. I have photos that I will share of before and after. It did take a couple of cleanings as the floor was so bad. We first went over it with the mop bit and it removed a large amount of the stain but the husband wasn't satisfied so he broke it down to the handheld and with attachments steam scrubbed the floor. I can't believe the amount of difference there is. I am beside myself. This thing really does work. It does what it says it does. And takes only moments for the water to be ready to steam. It is lightweight for what it is. And not to have a MOP and Bucket. to not have to bend over and wring out a mop every few moments and have to keep adding hot clean water to the mop bucket to keep it hot enough to get down the hallway is just brilliant. This mop takes so much effort out of a mundane chore. I felt like I was cheating somehow on cleaning. I also like that there is no soapy residue left behind. and the floors dry almost instantly after. I can't praise this little machine enough. I strongly recommend it.

Review: I like the multifunctional uses of this steam mop and the diversity of uses it offers. But due to this it does not offer perfection for any of them. But the low price makes it a fair and accessible choice. I've used all the functions now and I explain my opinion for each of them. We got this steam mop after moving into our new home which has lots of floor tiles throughout. The kitchen tiles are cream and show dirt easily and the grout has been neglected and again showed a multitude of sins. We wanted to clean them up as much as possible before using a grout pen to rejuvenate their colour. The mop is easy to use and negotiate around. It is responsive to movement. But I found whilst using the detergent option it doesn't seem to make a massive difference on its cleaning abilities. But it is a nice additional option still. The head I used to clean the grout visibly removed loads of dirt from the surface. I wouldn't say it worked wonders but they looked considerably cleaner, but the grout was beyond saving without a grout pen anyway. The cleaning pad is easy to put on and off. Midway through cleaning the floor I take it off and rinse it in the sink. So much dirt comes off it, it is so impressive and reassuring. I rinse out all the dirt and pop it back on. So far it has kept its shape and colour. I have used the little spout attachment which directs steam to clean the high chair. For some reason the output of steam doesnt seem as strong with this. It makes it splutter out more than a powerful jet of steam. I like how it can be put on to face down or up. I used the window cleaner attachment to remove the filthy hand prints of my children from our French doors and it really does a good job of that. I like the metal scouring head. I used it to clean the barbeque grills from baked and burnt on food. It does a great job at that and removes practically everything apart from in the corner of the crossed over grill bits. Update: the brass head scrubber has completely colalapsed and the brass all bent. I used the scraper to remove something that was stuck on permanently to the floor. I'd even tried scraping it off using a flat headed screwdriver before without success but this head combined with steam budged it effortlessly. I used the carpet cleaning head function to clean the rug by our door. The output does not seem that hot in this case. It does not drench the carpet which is good but it is enough to shift some dirt from it. I then steam it and hang it out to dry to let the sun evaporate the dirty liquid. One of the main issues I found is that there is an o ring washer where the attachments come on and off that comes off far too frequently. It will either snap or be lost very quickly if I'm not careful. Another issue is that when using the steamer in its handheld function that the steam button is entirely not ergonomically friendly. I get repetitive strain injury. It is also heavy over time and strains the forearm. I found it annoying how there is storage for the attachments on the machine but they do not fit in there well enough to be secure. They keep falling out. So it is best to store them safely separately. I do like how long the power cord is. It offers great distance. More than sufficient for most average British homes. I also like how the power cord wraps up neatly at the back of the machine and how there are two hooks that can be moved to store and release the lead. There are also two seperate plug slots to plug the plug in to to store that neatly. This part has been very well thought put and ensure neat storage of the very long lead. The water resovoir is frustratingly small. It wouldn't be so bad if it was easier to refill but it is quite annoying. Overall, this is a budget steam cleaner with some nifty extra functions. It's a good buy in my opinion but it does come with some flaws. But due to a low price I feel these can be overlooked.
