Review: I have always liked TP-Link's equipment and find them very effective. The instructions could do with a revamp as they're not the clearest, particularly as the diagram describing the adapter is the wrong way up in the drawings to start with. Also the serial numbers and passwords are very small and required in my case a magnifying glass. Other than that a good bit of kit.

Review: Just plug it in it said. It will do the rest for you. Well that might be true but do not follow the quick start instructions. Not only do they not make sense, the photographs don’t match the kit supplied ie EU photos but UK kit and 5 LEDs not 3. After 2 hours of not being able to figure out how to pair both pieces of kit (the instructions didn’t work) I logged into my Archer 7 TP-Link router in the end and added the kit there. All that gubbins about changing and merging your SSID and password should be ignored especially if you use one mesh. Also tip from the top, if you have no LEDs on your extender don’t assume as I did it’s faulty or not paired. There’s a tiny little button on the right hand side which enables you to switch them off or on - who knew! Clearly not me. Almost sent the kit back as a result. Oh and online TP-link support is useless as is scanning the QR code in the instructions. On the plus side my WiFi signal is very strong. So I guess we got there in the end. But 3 stars for lack of useful setup instructions and wasting 2 hours of my time as a result.
