Review: Brilliant for the price. Using with a Hisense TV in the bedroom and a Panasonic in the living room and I can control the volume with the TV remote on both. Great that you can place the subwoofer anywhere in the room with a wireless connection. Just dont make the mistake I made in not connecting by 'secure link'. This will stabilise the connection and stop any disconnections. Only took 30 seconds or so to do. I have two of these cant cant complain for the price. Great sound and that sub kicks in nicely with movies. If the bass gets too much, you can lower it. My only gripe with this is i would like the ability to adjust more than just the volume and bass. There are some pre setting buttons i.e Cinema, Music, Night etc. But it would be nice to have more control (see attached picture). Overall, a great buy at an affordable buy.

Review: Bought on prime so fast delivery. It comes in a very large box which is a bit of a funny shape as it has the soundbar and sub in there. The packaging is what you would expect from Sony with everything very well protected. In the box you get your soundbar, subwoofer, remote with batteries, optical cable and manual. I had read reviews where some said it was great sound while others saying to avoid. I liked the look of this however so purchased. I saw that it was said that the bar itself sounds terrible, this I feel is a bit harsh as the bar is only part of the sound. It is for the high end with no bass speaker which also has the surround effect coming from. The subwoofer is a decent size and can pump out some heavy bass. I find they work well together and you can change your bass level manually. With sound quality it is always objective and based on what you have previously owned. I find the sound clarity to be very good when watching TV and you get that rumble watching films or music. You have preset sound effects designed for cinema, night, game ect. I would say that you should turn the sub to full to get the best out of it where the main bar takes the highs. I do find there is a bit of a sweet spot for the system which is for me between 30 and 70% although that is quite loud, when you leave your finger on the + button and release the 320 watts of power, it can get very loud. It connects via HDMI arc or optical which I used supplied in the box. This works very well with the TV. You can use your TV speakers at the same time but I found that it just makes the sound out of balance and it was much better muted. Bluetooth connects the bar to the sub so no wires between them however both have separate plugs so you will need to spaces for this. Bluetooth also connects to your phone ect and again I found this to be easy to connect and sounded great. There is not much of a display, you see 3 lights to donate volume where there are quite a few steps between them. The sub has just 1 led to donate on or off. You can turn the lights off on the sub which is nice watching films ect with no distractions. Overall, the quality and sound it provides yes it's a Sony. However this is much more of an entry level system from them. If you are used to just your speakers on the TV, well you will be blown away, however if you have had a 7.1 system then you might not be so impressed. The main thing is value of the product from what is one of the most respected brands. For me I am very happy with the sound it provides in both terms of clarity and bass, it is more than loud enough and will take you to another level watching films, playing games or listening to music compared to your standard speakers.
