Review: Simply put ground coffee in the small gauze basket, 430ml water in the reservoir and switch on the white power button first then the red button. The black gold starts dripping after a minute or so, it's hot and strong, just the way I like it. The cup is plastic with a s/s outer body and a bit large for me but using a "chilly" cup, it's perfect if you only add 320ml of water in the reservoir. It's so lightweight and perfect in my Day-van, hooked up to my leisure battery (650w) to keep me recharged after a long drive. At £20 it would be criminal not to buy one.

Review: It must be said that the machine does produce a reasonable cup/mug of coffee. However, there a few things that would make me question whether I would buy it again. Firstly, the included large mug is described as 'stainless steel'. The outside is indeed stainless steel, the inner is actually plastic. There is negligible insulation from the mug, so coffee does not stay hot for very long. I use ordinary and decaf coffee. Decaf tends to be a finer ground coffee. This means that when filled to the maximum marker, some of the coffee grounds can be washed out into the mug, because of the slower flow rate. I tend to use a smaller mug for decaf. There is no drip tray in the design. Inevitably, after the brewing process is finished, one or more late drips will occur. I find it necessary to have a small dish handy to catch the late drips of coffee. I find that there is not a lot of room to tip a mug of water into the reservoir. Something with a spout is more appropriate to avoid spillage when filling. The manufacturer does highlight this, but once the button to start the brewing process is pressed, only disconnecting power will stop the machine. There is no pause halfway through. Only time will tell how long the coffee filter will last. It doesn't seem particularly robust and lining it with standard filter paper is no good because the filter will overflow and ground coffee will end up in the mug. As I started off by saying, it does actually make a reasonable mug of coffee, but in my opinion there are design deficiencies. The coffee maker is used 3 to 5 times a day. Once you understand it's quirks, it does a reasonable job.
